Chinese mining giant Bitmain's 7nm Bitcoin miners go on sale today, November 8, 2018.
Announced in September of 2018, the miners allegedly offer considerably faster hash rates (though Bitmain didn’t disclose any specifications) and come in two separate Antminer models: the S15 and T15.
The company first provided the news on Twitter, writing, “We are officially announcing the release of our new 7nm miners which possess industry-leading hash rates designed to mine with the SHA256 algorithm.
GMO Internet Group, a Japanese provider of a full spectrum of internet services for both the consumer and enterprise markets, is launching a new Bitcoin mining business utilizing next-generation 7 nanometer (7 nm) semiconductor chips. “[We] believe this new business has high potential for increasing corporate value in the future,” states the company.
